My Music Journey

My Music Journey *

Long before I was capturing visuals, I was telling stories through sound. At ten years old, I stumbled upon GarageBand and discovered the power of audio to create entire worlds. I would piece together layers of sound—bombs exploding, sirens wailing, fire crackling, voices shouting in the distance—until I had built cinematic scenes that existed only in the mind’s eye.

As my passion for storytelling deepened, so did my approach to music. I transitioned into professional digital audio workstations like Ableton Live, refining my craft in sound design, composition, and production. Over time, music became more than just an element of my films—it became a space of its own.

Under the artist name Kompound, I’ve explored and blended genres, culminating in the release of a Lo-Fi/Acid Jazz Hip-Hop album, available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon. My sound is atmospheric yet rhythmic, raw yet polished—designed to evoke emotion, whether as a standalone experience or as the heartbeat of a visual story.

Music has always been more than background noise to me. It’s a way to shape mood, build tension, and guide an audience through an experience. Whether composing a film score, experimenting with new sonic textures, or crafting full-length projects, sound remains one of my most instinctual and powerful tools as a creator.
